Monday’s Financial Challenge: Stop Payment 05/12/08
May 12, 2008 | Written by: Connie Brooks
Happy Monday everyone! The weekend is gone and another week has rolled around. It’s time for a financial challenge.
Here’s how they work:
I challenge YOU to do one thing each week to change your financial situation for the better.
If you decide to do today’s challenge, please leave me a comment below with the amount you saved so that I can cheer you on!
This week’s mission (should you choose to accept it) is to STOP PAYMENT.
Stop Payment on ONE item that you pay for but do not use.
In honor of “Stop Payment Day” I canceled my newspaper subscription. I rarely have time to read the newspaper, and I had been using it to help house train my puppy.
Instead of using the newspaper to train my dog, I am going to let him use my junk mail instead. (Lets see identity thieves pick my personal information off that mail lol.) This is more environmentally aware too!
Monthly Cost: $8
Yearly Savings: $96
