This is a companion article to the post “B.P.A. in Plastics - Is it Dangerous?

BPA Free Baby BottlesThere has been a lot of interest surrounding B.P.A. free baby bottles recently, and in response to that I thought I would list some of the most popular brands here.

Long-ish disclaimer: “BPA free” is a claim made by the manufacturer of the brands, not by Thrifty Mamas.

It is my personal opinion that all forms of plastic baby bottles are unsafe. Your baby may not be getting Bisphenol A from these bottles, but any time you heat plastic in the microwave, you are agitating the structure of the bottles and you end up with chemicals in the milk.

If you want to be sure your baby does not get chemicals along with their formula, you can always go back to the old fashioned, glass baby bottles.
